Erik, Kevin, Walt, Have you seen your political ad this week?

I appeal to your love of Lower Township and ask you not to take good ideas – ideas that you have previously supported - and attempt to turn people against them in a desperate effort to score political points with voters. No political party is worth killing good effort, especially efforts on behalf of the school children of our Township.

Follow the example of your Republican County Freeholders, and at least recognize and congratulate Mayor Beck for his leadership that was honored by the Lower Township Chamber of Commerce. Don’t drag good efforts down, just because they are not from your party. No party is worth this.

Kevin, Walt, I heard you publically support the idea of LOOKING INTO a fishing pier. Don’t attempt to kill a good discussion over a pier before it has begun, by suggesting that it will bust the budget.

Erik, Kevin, Don’t twist the efforts of Mayor Beck and the township advisory team (remember, you missed some of these meetings) to make the best use of our Township money by locating Public Safety at our current Township Annex.

Finally, don’t turn the Fishing Creek School project into a political football by suggesting that it will raise taxes in Lower Township. Eric and Kevin, you voted for me to lead this effort, you helped us on this project, and you had the Township apply for grants to restore the national and state historic landmark. As you know, the Township was ALREADY obliged to the State of NJ to maintain and restore the building. For this reason our Township Council voted to support the efforts of the Friends of Fishing Creek School, and direct grant funding to fix the roof. For this reason Mayor Beck recruited me and many other good people in the Township to volunteer their time, and donate money to restore the school – without burdening the taxpayers. We took the Fishing Creek school idea to the LT Elementary Superintendent and asked if they would like to use the building to help our kids, and they said “sure.” This is why we all got behind it.

See our ideas here and let’s discuss these:
